Custom Covers – Care & Operation
Congratulations on your purchase of a custom canvas product from SugarHouse Industries. With occasional cleaning and careful use, you will enjoy your custom cover for many years.
CLEANING UPHOLSTERY
Blot (don’t rub) liquid spills with a clean dry cloth. If it’s an oil-based spill, apply corn starch then remove it with a straight edge. Spray on a mild cleaning solution of soap (such as Dawn® or Woolite®) and water. en rinse the fabric thoroughly to remove all residue and air dry it. If your first try doesn’t get the stain out, there are a few more things you can try. ere are specific methods for indoor upholstery and outdoor upholstery. Sunbrella has put together detailed instructions at www.sunbrella.com to guide you through the process.
SHADE FABRICS
To clean while still on an awning frame, brush o loose dirt and then hose it down. Prepare a mild cleaning solution of soap (such as Dawn® or Woolite®) and water. Grab a so bristle brush to clean then allow the solution to soak into fabric. Rinse thoroughly then air dry. For heavier cleaning, use 1 cup of bleach and ¼ cup of mild soap and a gallon of water. Allow it to soak into the fabric for up to 15 minutes. Clean it with a so bristle brush – this step should be avoided if cleaning the coated side of Sunbrella Plus, Supreme, or Clarity. Rinse thoroughly and then air dry. Repeat if necessary. Re-treatment of fabric for water and stain resistance is necessary aer using the bleach solution.
RETREATMENT
After a thorough cleaning, it’s recommended to use 303® Fabric Guard™ which is available to purchase from SugarHouse. It will not restore it to its original strength but will add UX and water repellancy back to the fabric. It will need to be re-treated yearly. Aer cleaning your fabric and leing it air dry, apply 3030 Fabric Guard to it in a well-ventilated area following instructions on the container.

CARE AND WARRANTY
5-YEAR LIMITED warranty for Sunbrella Upholstery Fabrics. Protects against loss of color, loss of strength, abrasion, and pilling.
10-YEAR LIMITED warranty for Sunbrella Shade Fabrics. Protects against the fabric becoming unserviceable due to color or strength loss from normal usage and exposure conditions, including sunlight, mildew, and atmospheric chemicals.
