Healthcare & Food Workers to receive much needed help.

ExtenData, whose headquarters are based out of Centennial, CO, is an IT operation solutions company. Like so many companies out there, ExtenData has taken the initiative to help communities however they can. ExtenData’s efforts turned to locating healthcare and food distribution centers, that had staff working on the front lines. They also reached out to SugarHouse Industries, that recently shifted their business from awning and boat cover manufacturers, to include producing face shields and masks to help the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

ExtenData began their philanthropic work by asking the public to help them find organizations whose employees needed masks and/or shields. They wanted to learn about the organizations on the front line as quickly as possible, in order to get the supplies to those most in need. As information has poured in, SugarHouse has started to fill orders that are being sent out all over the United States. Some of those masks and shields will be going to healthcare workers right here in Utah. IHC and the University of Utah will be among the recipients to benefit from ExtenData’s goodwill.

What made ExtenData answer the call to help those on the front line? Georgia Brown, Director of Marketing at ExtenData shared, “Supporting our customers, staff, partners, and community is a core value that compels us to help where we can. Using our connections throughout the global supply chain to connect supply with demand is a logical route and right in our wheelhouse. In good times we make visibility and tracking solutions through hardware and software technology. Right now, we are using those same skills, connections, and knowledge to support the people on the front line doing the hard work and putting themselves at risk.”

ExtenData and SugarHouse Industries will continue to work together to protect those who are working so diligently to keep us safe, protected and fed. If you would like to join ExtenData in their efforts through donation or partnership, please contact Georgia Brown via email at marketing@extendata.com.

SugarHouse Ind. has served its clients in the Intermountain West since 1941. In that time, we have become Utah’s largest provider of awning, boat tops and specialty canvas covers. After nearly 80 years, our focus is still to provide customers with the highest quality products and the best prices. We remain a family-owned company, and we remain committed to putting a personal touch into everything we do. That’s why we make every product that we offer in our 30,000 ft2 facility in Midvale, Utah.
